IADP's are valid for use in North, Central and South America countries, while an IDP's (International Driving Permit) is valid in 150 countries around the world, so you will want to make sure to purchase the appropriate permit depending on where you will be traveling. Attached is a country list which indicates what permit would be used in that specific country.
