There are 2 convenient ways to obtain an International Driving Permit:

#1 - Apply In-Store: Visit your local AAA Store.

Appointments are not necessary for in-store processing and you will obtain your permit same day.

If you choose to apply in-store, please do not apply online.  Online orders are separate from in-store, and local AAA stores will not be able to access your online application.

#2 - Apply Online: Place your order online and complete the application electronically.

How it works:

- Choose the service and shipping option that best suits your needs, and complete your order.  Please note an IDP is not available in digital form and will be mailed to you via the courier chosen during checkout.

- After completing your order, you will be directed to create a govWorks account to complete your IDP forms.

- An easy-to-use online wizard will guide you through the application, allowing you to upload passport style approved photos, and submit a copy of the front/back of your driver's license.

- You will then review your application and digital signature.

- Your application will be submitted electronically for processing.  Please allow 5 business days (Business day = Monday - Friday, no weekends) for processing + return shipping time.

- The physical IDP will be mailed to you based on the shipping option that was chosen during check out.
